For All Your Wine and Beer Needs

Choosing your beerMany recipies to choose from

Choosing the right beer is simple. Pick a beer that resembles your favourite suds and away you go. We have dozens of standard recipes to choose from.  The beer you make at Bordertown will have a different flavour and taste than the standard store bought, mass produced beers, since our beers are draught style.  Once you've acquired a taste for the U-Brew beer, you'll find the mass produced beer to be somewhat bland.

Types of beer

Bordertown U-Brew offers a variety of about 100 beer recipes from light lagers to dark ales. Our staff is more than happy to help you choose a recipe that would suit your taste.

Make your own great tasting beer!

The brewing process

  1. Choose your beer recipe from the recipe book.
  2. Measure out ingredients
  3. Cook in our kettles (our staff will assist).
  4. Let ferment for 8-9 days plus 3-4 days in our cooler.
  5. Cold filter and store in keg until bottling.
  6. Bottle your beer and away you go.

Caring for your beer

Always store your beer in a cool, dark place. A fridge is ideal. There are NO preservatives in our beers; shelf life is reduced if you store in a warm place. Shelf life is generally 2 to 5 months. The colder you keep it, the longer it will last.

Our staff can answer all of your questions about the brewing process. Please check our FAQ's or contact us with your questions.
